Pen C and Pen C mini can be converted into a mechanical pencil with the Pen C Series Mechanical Pencil Kit (sold separately). The kit is designed for the Pen C series only and is not compatible with Pen N or Pen S.
| What’s in the kit
The kit includes the following components:
- Schmidt (Germany) metal mechanical pencil mechanism × 1
- Metal push button × 1
- Push-button base (round) × 1
- Unlocking tool (located at the bottom of the box) × 1
| Step 1
Remove the front section and the metal ring at the rear end of the pen.
| Step 2
Using a coin, screw the push-button base from the kit into the rear end of the pen.
| Step 3
Insert the Schmidt mechanical pencil mechanism into the front section, replacing the original black plastic part.
| Step 4
Tighten the front section using the unlocking tool included in the box. On current versions, the cap can be used to tighten the front section instead, so the tool is not required.
| Step 5
Insert the metal push button (smaller-diameter end first) into the rear end. The conversion is complete.
